Welcome to the Dayton Friends Meeting, a Quaker meeting! We invite you to join us for worship, fellowship, and community outreach. We meet every Sunday morning for singing at 10:15 am followed by worship from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
COVID-19 Response
Dayton Friends are holding our city and our world in prayer during this current pandemic. Our meetinghouse is currently open again for socially-distanced worship on Sunday mornings, however many still choose to join worship via Zoom. We encourage all to join in our worship either at the meetinghouse or online. Newcomers are welcome. See our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/daytonfriendsmeeting/) for the Zoom link and for the most updated information.
Who we are
Dayton Friends Meeting is a loving, inclusive community of Quakers who gather together in silent worship. We believe that there is “that of God,” the Light or Seed of the divine, in each person. That Light grows as we attend to God’s presence and nurture one another, leading us to live with greater integrity and witness to the possibility of peace and justice in the world. Although we believe that revelation is ongoing and vary in the names we call the Divine, we look to the life of Jesus for inspiration and guidance. We welcome all who are looking for a caring community of seekers.
Dayton Friends Meeting is a silent or unprogrammed meeting. Our meeting is based upon a waiting search for a sense of God’s presence in our midst. Quakers believe in sharing spiritual insights with the entire Meeting when the Spirit leads.
Where we are
Dayton Friends Meeting meets at 345 Wyoming Street, Dayton, OH 45410. We invite you to join us for worship, fellowship, and community outreach.
